Fresh Basil Pecan Pesto
Serves: Yields about 1 cup
  • 2 cups packed basil leaves, washed and dried
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ¼ cup pecans
  • ¼ cup grated Romano cheese
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • salt, to taste
  1. Combine the basil, garlic, pecans and Parmesan in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until chopped. With the food processor running, add the olive oil in a thin stream. Stir in salt, to taste.
